Families often arrive here feeling overwhelmed, worried, and unsure; wondering why their child is struggling and whether they are somehow getting it wrong. If this is you, please know you’re not alone.
When a child is having a hard time, I believe they are doing the best they can with the skills, development and nervous system they have. Behaviour is not a problem to fix, but communication. Behaviour is a child reaching out for safety, connection, understanding and co-regulation. Children look to the adults around them to feel held, accepted and to know they belong.
Play Therapy offers children aged 2–8 a respectful, child-led space to express themselves through their natural language of play. My work is grounded in deep respect for children and parents, and in nurturing the parent–child relationship through safety, trust and attunement.
