Individual Parent Support
Support that sees you, guides you, and helps your family thrive
Our Parent Support Sessions
Parenting a child with developmental delay or additional needs can feel isolating, overwhelming and confusing at times, especially when everyday moments become hard and no one has supported you how to navigate them with clarity and confidence.
Inspiring Play offers a reflective, strengths-based 1:1 support session for parents and carers of children with developmental delays or neurodivergent profiles. These sessions are designed to compassionately help you understand what’s happening beneath behaviour, build your confidence, and translate knowledge into practical steps that fit your family’s life.

Who are these sessions for?
These personalised sessions are for parents who:
-
are striving to feel more grounded, clearer and more confident in their responses
-
want practical strategies that work at home
-
are navigating behaviours, routines, transitions or emotional regulation challenges
-
want to better understand their child’s unique needs and developmental profile
-
are seeking support that respects your intuition, your child’s individuality, and your family’s strengths.
This is not a “one-size-fits-all” coaching call. It’s a safe, supportive space where your experience is honoured, and you are met with compassion and supportive guidance.
How the Sessions Work
Each session includes:
Step 1: Pre-session reflection tool
Before we meet, you’ll complete a short intake form so we can understand your goals, priorities and current patterns.
Step 2: 1:1 support session (online)
In our 60 minute session together:
-
We explore your recent experiences and what’s been most challenging
-
We identify what’s underneath your child’s behaviour and needs
-
We develop practical, relationship-focussed strategies grounded in child development and emotion coaching
-
We make sense of the situation together, moving towards curiosity, understanding and intentional responses.
Step 3: Written summary with key steps & resources
After each session, you’ll receive a personalised summary outlining:
-
what we discussed
-
suggested next steps
-
tools or practices to try at home.

Inspiring Play's Approach
Our approach is shaped by therapeutic principles that help children and families grow emotionally and relationally, including:
Reflective Understanding
We explore behaviour as communication, not control, so that your responses match what your child truly needs.
Capacity Building
Strategies focus on increasing your capacity as a parent to support your child’s development, autonomy and emotional wellbeing.
Developmental Alignment
Supports are grounded in how children’s nervous systems, regulation and social-emotional skills develop over time.
Compassionate Presence
This is a space to make sense of what feels hard, feel supported, and gain clarity and hope.

Let's Connect
You’re welcome to reach out. I’m here to support you.
Working together in 1:1 parent sessions on Zoom offers a compassionate, supportive space to slow things down and look more closely at what’s happening for you and your child. These sessions are not about fixing or correcting, but about nurturing understanding of your child, yourself, and the moments that feel hardest right now.
Our work is shaped around your family’s unique situation and goals. We gently explore what your child may be communicating through their behaviour, and how you can respond in ways that feel steady, respectful and aligned with your values. The focus is always on what is realistic and supportive in your day-to-day life. Trust me, as a mum in a neurodivergent household, I get it!
Many parents share that these conversations help them see their child, and themselves, with new clarity. They often describe feeling less rushed, less unsure, and more grounded in how they show up during challenging moments.
Whether you’re navigating big emotions, frequent meltdowns, communication challenges, or simply longing for more ease and connection at home, these sessions offer thoughtful guidance and practical support that grows over time.
If this approach resonates with you, I’d love to hear from you and explore whether working together feels like the right next step.
